SUMMER TIME AT LUTHER FARM

Although the calendar doesn't mark the beginnin of summer til June 21,Amie, Bubba, & I decided to kick it off early with a Summer Fun Picnic here at Luther Farm. We spent the day playin in the swimminpool, picnicing on finger food, and waving our "welcome summer" flags to the tune of "Popeye the Sailor Man"!It was a fun day, & Pa ended it just right buy treatin us with a Pizza to end the day!

BUBBA THE FARMER

Bubba got a new book recently that has helped him learn about farm animals and their sounds and he loves it! He can let out a "mean cock-a-doodle-do" & a "cool Moo-moo" but the last page of the book is his favorite--it says when you see a Farmer say....."How-do-you-do?" He'll smile at me and say"Mamoo, I the Farmer, so say How do you do?" Since Pa is a "garden farmer" Bubba decided to grab his rake & hoe and lend a hand helping Pa out!!Of course he grabs his little bucket every mornin to go help Pa pick the "sqush" as he calls them too. We've all been enjoyin the "sqush", especiallly Amie! She don't want 'em cooked, though;she just chows 'em down raw!Cooked or raw, don't matter,I'm just glad that "Where Mamoo's garden grows, Pa & Bubba hoes!!!

Pa enjoyed a great weekend with his Kids & Grandkids that live here in Okie Country! (He said all that could have made it better would have been havin the New Yorkers here!)Don & Sissy got here bout noon on Sat. & cooked up a great meal on the grill(hamburgers,hot-links,corn-on-the-cob,taters). JJ,Kennetha,& all the kids came on up and we all feasted on the good food. A BEAUTIFUL MOTHERS DAY SUNDAY

Mothers Day Sunday was a beautiful day! Pa & I got ready for church; then hefixed me breakfast! We left in the "Hug-a-Buga Van", stopped & picked up Kennetha,Zak,&Airianna & arrived at church a little early. I was especially excited because Don,JJ, & Sissy joined us for church that morning! I didn't win the prize for the mom with the most kids in church like I had done a few times when they were all little, but I felt like the most special Mom there! The only thing that could have made me feel more special would have been to have Jerriemy ,Dana, and Little Jerriemy there and since they're in New York that wasn't possiable! After church we all came back to Luther Farm. Little Don grilled up some burgers & dogs & we had a picnic in the front yard. After the food everyone just spent the afternoon havin fun and relaxing. Pa challenged Don to a game of horse shoes.Don won and Sissy had to play the winner so there was another round, with Don ending up the champion!!!JJ&Kennetha took a nap&I gave Zak a salt shaker;told him to watch for a bird&sneak up to put salt on its tail and he could catch it; then I sat back & watched him try for a while! He was so cute! When I finally told him if he could get close enough to put the salt on the birds tail he could catch it anyway he still didn't want to give up tryin but the salt shaker was empty! Sissy napped in the swing and Don gave Dwight a bath. Pa & Puppy napped. All in all it was a Beautiful Day!
